By accessing or using Cover Counsel ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Cover Counsel provides artificial intelligence-powered tools designed to assist law students in drafting and formatting professional cover letters. The service does not constitute legal advice and is intended strictly as an educational and structural aid.
You agree to use the Service in compliance with your law school's academic honor code and any employer submission guidelines. Cover Counsel is a drafting utility; you remain entirely responsible for the factual accuracy, final content, and representations made in your application materials. We explicitly prohibit the use of this service to fabricate experiences or qualifications.
The Service operates on a credit-based system. Purchased credits are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to modify pricing, though previously purchased credits will retain their original generation value.
While you retain ownership of the personal data you provide, the generated output is provided to you under a broad, perpetual license for your personal, non-commercial use in job applications. Cover Counsel retains ownership over the underlying algorithms, prompt structures, and RAG database architectures.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cover Counsel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of employment opportunities resulting from your use of the Service.
